What makes the TAAHP Conference such an important gathering for the Texas health professions education community?

At the 2026 Texas Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (TAAHP) Conference in Houston, leaders from Texas Health Education Service (TXHES) sat down to reflect on the role of statewide collaboration in supporting the next generation of health professionals.

In this conversation, TXHES Executive Director Dr. Matthew Meeks and Dr. Cleveland Lane, Professor of Practice at Prairie View A&M University and incoming 2027 TAAHP President, join TXHES Associate Director Nichole Castillo to discuss how partnerships among advisors, institutions, and statewide programs strengthen pathways into health professions education.
