Medical school is not one-size-fits-all, and at LECOM, it doesn’t have to be.
In this video, LECOM students and faculty explain how different learning pathways are designed to match how students actually learn. From traditional lecture-based education to problem-based learning and directed study, each pathway delivers the same rigorous medical curriculum through different learning environments.
You’ll hear directly from current students about what their day-to-day experience is like, how they study, and why choosing the right pathway matters. Faculty leaders also explain how each pathway prepares students for boards, clinical rotations, and long-term success in medicine.
If you’re considering medical school and wondering how learning style, structure, flexibility, and support factor into success, this video will help you understand how LECOM empowers students to thrive by learning the way that works best for them.

Clinical experience was less than desirable considering the price of the school. Endo was considerably lacking – only did one anterior endo before graduating, no premolar or molar. I would say I felt confident in removable prosth and operative when graduating and the rest I’ve had to learn on my own through CE after graduating.
Didactic experience was great, although faculty turnover was very high when I was there so I can’t speak on how that is now. The school focused a lot on board prep for which I was thankful.
At the end of the day, I have a dental degree, and thats all that matters. You can become as great of a provider as you choose to be regardless of where you go to school.
