The Dental Hygiene program at Northeast Mississippi Community College (NMCC) provides students with a comprehensive education in oral health care, focusing on preventive practices and clinical expertise. The program combines rigorous classroom instruction with hands-on training in modern dental facilities, where students gain practical experience in dental cleanings, radiography, and patient management. Emphasizing a patient-centered approach, the curriculum prepares graduates to effectively meet the diverse oral health needs of their communities. Upon completion, students are eligible to take the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination (NBDHE) and pursue state licensure.
