Are you confused by all the credit card fees and charges? Listen to how Apex Payment Solutions makes it transparent while providing you with tools to make your dental practice more efficient. A lot of dentists ask for info on credit card processing and their fees across all platforms. The reason, I believe, is the lack of transparency by the majority of the companies in the space. Apex, in my opinion is an exception. ------------------------------------------------ TL;DR , Apex is a transparent credit card processing company I trust. For traditional credit card processing, they use the most transparent method, which is interchange Plus pricing. This means they add a set percentage to the non-negotiable fee that credit card companies charge, and that fee is 0.2%. So, if Visa is charging 1.75 percent for a card, you end up paying 1.95%. Remember that non-negotiable fees are the same for all credit card processors. I prefer this method because it's very transparent, and we know what we're paying (debit is always considerably cheaper). The tiered pricing that most credit card processors put us in can end up costing us more because they charge differently for different cards, and we have no way of knowing what they're charging for. And they can raise their "share" at any time, requiring you to call to negotiate down, if you notice. You may have heard of non-qualified, mid-qualified, and qualified rates, which basically give you three different rates for different cards and can charge you upwards of 4 to 5%. I was promised 1.76% and thought I was getting it, but realized after 5 years that I was paying close to four and a half percent. Their excuse? They told me they were going to raise my rates, and I should have called and negotiated them down. If you use the interchange Plus method, you know that you'll always be getting 0.2% added to your non-negotiable fees. Also, do note that the security protocol known as PCI compliance can add to your fees if you're not compliant. This has nothing to do with the processor, and it's the way credit card companies buy themselves insurance because your systems are not secure. If someone steals credit card numbers and abuses them, and you're not PCI compliant, the credit card company makes you responsible for those charges. So, it pays to be PCI compliant, and Apex can help you with that. Apex Zero is a product they introduced due to popular demand for passing the cost to the consumer. I know many of you are against it, and I was too. However, everywhere I go, I am paying for those fees added to my bill. So, I'm now a true believer in passing the convenience fee to the consumer. In a few years, this will be the norm; I can guarantee you that. Right now, all of these points and cashbacks handed out to consumers are essentially bankrolled by us, the merchants. They advertise the cashbacks and points and then turn around and charge us. Do you hear me, Roshan? I paid for all those trips around the world, LOL. One of the biggest advantages of Apex is their platform. They charge $30 a month for their platform, and remember, you're already paying $15 to $30 per month to your current credit card company. The $30 they charge actually gives you access to a lot more than a regular credit card processing company. This platform was designed to accommodate dental offices. My favorite part is the inclusion of payment plans. They store and encrypt credit cards so patients can be charged on a monthly basis without you doing anything. Even your membership plan can be set up on the Apex platform so you don't have to pay those ridiculous fees to the third-party company you're currently using. This is all included in the monthly fee with Apex, which is almost the same fee you're paying now for essentially nothing. Whether you want to pay the fees yourself or pass them on to your patients, switching to Apex is a no-brainer. You'll pay a transparent, low fee structure (or even a zero fee structure) and get the whole platform for basically the same monthly fee you're paying now.
