As an aspiring territory representative for a regional dental supply company in the 1980s, Dr. David Porritt was fortunate to have earned the trust, and supply business of Dr. John Kois and Dr. Frank Spear. Their influence as educators, leaders, and mentors launched a 35-year career in the dental industry where he help found and served as president of numerous organizations including Compassionate Finance.

Recognizing that dentistry is experiencing an increasingly competitive market, David earned his MBA and Doctorate in business administration. He specifically pursued research into the factors that influence dentists’ well-being. This includes fundamental questions regarding factors that influence their decisions, and the effects that rapid changes brought on by the consolidation of dentistry have on independent dentists.

Joining with Productive Dentist Academy (PDA) under the leadership of Dr. Bruce Baird and Dr. Victoria Peterson, the company's philosophy of member-driven benefit perfectly aligns with David's mission to leverage his knowledge and talents to continue the legacy of service to dedicated independent dentists through PDA's Investment Grade Practices™ platform.
